Dependent Pass

Dependent Pass (DP) or Long-Term Visit Pass (LTVP) holders are usually family members of Employment Pass (EP) or S Pass holders. By default, DP / LTVP holders cannot work in Singapore unless they obtain a separate Letter of Consent (LOC) issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).

Who is eligible for the LOC?

  • DP or LTVP holders who are spouses or family members of EP / S Pass holders

  • Applicants must have a valid DP or LTVP

  • The prospective employer must apply to MOM for the LOC

LOC Application Process

1. Employer submits LOC application via MOM online portal

 3. Upon approval, the DP / LTVP holder is allowed to work for the specified employer

2. MOM reviews employment eligibility and employer compliance

4. LOC is tied to a single employer and must be renewed if employment continues
